Specialty Instructor Courses
PADI Specialty Instructors are PADI Instructors who have met the requirements to offer courses in various special types of diving activities.
PADI Instructors qualify as Specialty Instructors either by applying directly to PADI or or by attending a Specialty Instructor training course conducted by a PADI Course Director
Earning PADI Specialty Instructor ratings allow you to teach a wide array of exciting courses in special interest areas. Besides giving you the chance to do your favorite type of diving, specialty diver courses allows you to share your interests and expertise with others.
During each Specialty Instructor Course you learn how to promote and teach the Specialty effectively, by deepening your knowledge of the Specialty and understanding standards and links with other courses. You will practice how to conduct a knowledge development presentation of the specialty, and conduct an open water presentation with simulated students.

Prerequisites
To enroll in most Specialty Instructor training, an individual must be a renewed PADI Assistant Instructor, PADI Instructor or have completed an IDC or Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) program within the past 12 months.
