IDC Staff Instructor
IDC Staff Instructor Course: 12 days
PADI IDC Staff Instructors are PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainers who have successfully completed an IDC Staff Instructor course. During your training you will overview the entire Instructor Development program and learn to act as assistants during instructor level training courses.
As an Instructor Development Course (IDC) Staff Instructor, you help bring up the next generation of PADI Instructors while gaining in-depth instructor-trainer knowledge.
After becoming an IDC Staff Instructor you will be able to independently conduct PADI Assistant Instructor courses as well as assist PADI Course Directors on IDCs. You will also have taken the next step on the road to becoming a Course Director.
Prerequisites
To start your IDC Staff Instructor Cousre you must:
- Be a renewed, teaching status PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer.
Required Materials
IDC Staff Instructor candidates need the following materials:
- PADI Course Director Manual
- PADI Confined Water and Open Water Evaluation Slates
- PADI Instructor Manual
All IDC Staff Instructor candidates are also required to have current student materials from the PADI Open Water Diver, PADI Advanced Open Water Diver, PADI Rescue Diver, PADI Divemaster and PADI OWSI and Peak Performance Buoyancy, Project AWARE, and AWARE Coral Reef Conservation Specialty Instructor Outlines from the PADI Specialty Instructor Manual. These materials are not included in the cost of the course.
