Your next step after earning Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI ) is to become a PADI Specialty Instructor, when you achieve this rating you can teach a wide range of PADI Specialty courses.

When you earn at least five Specialty Instructor ratings as well as 25 student certifications you can consider becoming a Master Scuba Diver Trainer

This not only improves your teaching abilities, it will make you a more versatile, and sought-after employee

As an Instructor Development Course (IDC) Staff Instructor, you help shape the next generation of PADI Instructors while gaining in-depth instructor-trainer knowledge. As a Staff Instructor you may assist PADI Course Directors during instructor development programs and instructor-level continuing education programs. As an IDC Staff Instructor you will also be able to independently conduct PADI Assistant Instructor Courses.
